Phoenix Towers, Co-op. Monthly HOA fees cover all heating and cooling, interior repairs of individual units, taxes, insurance, 24 hour doorman, pool, parking and more. Built in 1957.

Although Phoenix Towers has a fantastic location it hasn't been one of our favorites because it has been so darn dated...until now.

We're happy to report that the HOA Board approved and successfully funded $5M in renovations and improvements including the installation of new modern dual paned windows in all units, new chiller units, refurbishment of the pool and surrounding area, refurbishment of the roof top deck and a completely new lobby. The lobby and roof top deck work alone will cost $170,000.

About half of the work has been completed as of May 2010 with the rest expected by the end of the summer.

One thing to be aware of with Phoenix Towers is that since it is a co-op financing is very different than a traditional condo building. Traditional mortgages are not available with co-ops but it is possible to borrow money with 30% down. Call us for details.
