Infill development: meet your old friend, the single family home.
Luxury-home builder Zacher Homes, based in the Camelback Corridor, is working on three separate residential infill projects in north-central Phoenix. Each of the projects’ combined 160 units is a self-contained, single-family home. Typically, infill residences are condominiums or townhomes.
The developer recently started selling units for all the developments. The timeline for ultimate build-out depends on how fast sales progress.
All three sites are within about a mile of each other, going from as far east as Marlette Avenue and 10th Street and as far west as Maryland and Central avenues.
"It was more serendipitous than anything else," Roney said. "It just worked out."
The company is targeting buyers who appreciate proximity to the dining, arts and entertainment attractions of central Phoenix.
Each home features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, two- or three-car garages and built-in solar panels to power them.
