That’s right, from the home page of WKU you can find a very basic list of high rise condos and lofts that are being offered as short sales or are in foreclosure.
We have really mixed feelings about posting information like this because we hate to see people getting hurt financially. But, these are the conditions of today and we can’t ignore them.
The good news is that so far we aren’t seeing a lot of these but then again they’re not easy to find; so we could be missing some. Nonetheless, there are some opportunities for buyers to pick up a great high rise condo, loft or other urban property for a discount. BUT, BE CAREFUL. Just because a property is advertised as a short sale, REO, bank foreclosure, or distressed does NOT mean that it’s necessarily a good deal. You still have to do your homework and have an experienced real estate agent in your corner.
