Excellent - what about the total number of residential rental buildings?.Renter-occupied housing unit. All occupied units which are not owner occupied, whether they are rented for cash rent or occupied without payment of cash rent, are classified as renter-occupied.

I agree Will. Condos at Optima Camelview, Hayden Ferry Lakeside and other complexes are seeing similar rates from private owners. In terms of actual rentals or leases, "The Residences on High Street" (the marketing name for the rental units at CityNorth), will be some of the highest rates in the valley, and have every right to be. My question is, since the complex does not offer a lot of amenities yet, how desirable are these units? I think the announcement of the Pioneer Store (2nd store in the world for Pioneer) is going to boost it, as you might see some tech lovers renting the high-end units.

$2 per foot is high? I don't profess to know the rental market in north Phoenix but for comparable rentals in the urban core $2/square foot does not seem out of line. Granted you can rent inferior condos in urban areas for much less but CityNorth is a very nice, higher end, community.
