Artisan Commons
48th Street and Thomas (just south of Arcadia) - One of Eric Brown's communities all of which fell under the "artisan" name. Arisan Commons is less urban in style then his Artisan Osborn and Artisan on Central communities but is still centrally located and "urban" enough to be included in this web site.
Artisan Commons is a small community of 38 'Tuscan' style, detached homes, all with private garages (most, but not all, of which have direct access) built in 2003 with floor plans ranging from approximately 2,000 to 3,000 square feet. Prices range from x to y. These homes are very vertical with small footprints (meaning there is a lot of square footage on relatively small lots. However, Brown did a great job with the design so that the homes feel open and spacious and very livable. Most homes have a kitchen and family room great room, with small seperate living and dining rooms, on the ground floor with all bedrooms upstairs. In many cases the side or rear garden/yards open right up from the family room giving the home a courtyard feel.
If you're looking for something newer, close to Arcadia and all that that area has to offer but don't want to pay Arcadia prices then you might want to check out Artisan Commons.
Prices start in the high $400,000 range.
