Tempe March 8, 2008

Covering: Northshore (new to tour), Bridgeview (new to tour) and Centerpoint High Rise. Plus we discussed what's going on with Mosaic, Onyx, Marina Heights, 100 Mill, Hayden Flour Mill, and Farmer's Art District.

Man what a great tour! We had fifty true urban living fans on the bus with nary a hiccup. The sales staff at every community was very prepared and made our job really easy. Thanks to all.

Our first stop at Northshore Condominiums was great. It's located just east of Scottsdale Road (Rural) on the north side/north shore of Tempe Town Lake. Northshore is the first of what we believe will be many urban condo communities on that side of the lake and in fact the developer of Northshore has another project in the works called Onyx (a high rise). The condos at Northshore have good floor plans for the most part and the amenities of the building are contemporary and sufficient. However, the best thing about Northshore are the prices. We can get our buyers into the building for approximately $400,000 which is very inexpensive for water front property in Tempe.the north side/north shore of Tempe Town Lake. Call us for a personal tour or more info.

Our next stop was Bridgeview at Hayden Ferry. Last time we toured Tempe we visited her sister building, Edgewater at Hayden Ferry as construction at Bridgeview wasn't complete yet. We toured each of the twelfth floor penthouses and they were spectacular. Each is two stories tall, with a private elevator between floors, with phenomenal views and they're huge!. One of our tour attendees particularly liked that the homes are delivered as "shells" so that the home buyer can do whatever he or she wants in the way of interior finishes. This way you don't have to use the Hayden Ferry Design Center if you don't want to (although it is excellent).

Centerpoint High Rise Towers were our last stop and what a treat! One of the developers himself spent a considerable amount of time explaining in detail his companies approach to urban development in general and the manifestation of that philosophy in the high rise towers of Centerpoint. He and his staff then gave us a personal tour of both towers...yes, they are both under construction. We donned hardhats, signed waivers, got the obligatory "safety first" drill, and then entered where Joe Public has not gone before. We are very grateful to Avenue Communities (developer of Centerpoint) for taking the time to show us their fantastic project. And thanks also for the gourmet lunch they provided us after the tour. Centerpoint is a truly top notch project. If you want to see what all the fuss is about, give us a call and we'll get you a behind the scenes tour too!

As always we owe a huge THANK YOU to Mike Williard, an amateur photographer and very special friend of WeKnowUrban who shot these great photos.
