Regency on Central (formerly known as Regency House) is a 21 story high rise condo building in midtown Phoenix right on the Encanto / Central Avenue light rail stop.
Originally built in 1964, Regency was designed by George Shoneberger, a local architect at the time. The building enjoys spectacular downtown, uptown city light and mountain views. It's a short walk from the Heard Museum and a longer but pleasant walk from the Phoenix Art Museum and Library and of course a rail ride to downtown Phoenix, Tempe and more.
Regency on Central offers great style in a secure, low maintenance condo with 24 hour security and a great location.
In 2013 and 2014 the owners of Regency agreed to make approximately $7 million of renovations to the building including installing a new heating and cooling system, renovating the parking garage, redoing the pool and cabana area and the interior common areas on the ground floor, adding a dog area, an outdoor kitchen and upgrading / updating the landscaping. The cost of the renovations were paid via a $60,000 (approximate) assessment to each of the 118 owners.
The improvements should help increase condo values in the building while also reducing maintenance and utility costs.
Regency on Central / Regency House is a high rise condo building worth checking out.
