Tapestry on Central (originally called Willo Walk) was a boom / bust building that recovered remarkably well. United Properties out of Canada was the original developer but the entire community was eventually purchased and completed by Starpointe who renamed it Tapestry on Central.
Tapestry on Central is a huge 280-unit brownstone, condo, town home / loft community on the northwest corner of Central Avenue and Encanto Boulevard, and sits right on top of one of the new light rail stops.
Tapestry is super close to the financial district, central business corridor and minutes from Sky Harbor International Airport and government offices. With the Heard Museum just across the street and the Herberger Theater Center, Civic Plaza, new Convention Center, US Airways Arena and Chase Field a mile away the best of Phoenix lies at its doorstep.
There are two story brownstones on the ground floor, condo flats on the third and fourth, and two story "lofts" on the fifth and sixth floors.
Prices and location are great here for someone wanting to break into the urban living market.
