The entire world has heard of beautiful Scottsdale. But people are just now learning about urban living there. Once word gets out to mainstream America we will see another mad rush to buy in Scottsdale.
With recently built high rises, lofts, modern townhomes and other luxury condos in downtown Scottsdale the vibe has changed and people dig it. Synergistic and fun, dense(r) but friendly, clean with good architecture are all adjectives that fit the area once known as Old Town Scottsdale.
There is so much to walk or bike or trolley to, from big box restaurants to shopping malls, from small intimate restaurants to quirky boutique shops, from museums to art galleries to plain old fashioned people watching; downtown Scottsdale has something for everyone.
A We Know Urban Realty client once said Downtown Scottsdale is the "closest thing to big city urban living available" in the entire Valley.
North Scottsdale Condos
North Scottsdale is still much more spread out than downtown Scottsdale but there are a few pockets of growing density.
If North Scottsdale is more your speed, then check out Kierland Commons (technically Phoenix but considered by most to be Scottsdale – we list it here for audience convenience). Currently this area has two nice urban style condo buildings: Lofts at Kierland Commons and Landmark at Kierland. Both are vertical communities and both are pedestrian and biking friendly. Literally, Lofts at Kierland sits right on top of some of the best shopping and dining that North Scottsdale has to offer.
And stay tuned because there is more to come with the recent announcement of a new Optima Kierland luxury condominium project in the works. These are sure to enjoy a lot of attention and strong sales as sister buildings, Optima Biltmore Towers and Optima Camelview Village did when built, and still do today in the resale market.
Downtown Scottsdale Condos
Downtown urban styles range from the small and quiet mid-century modern condos on the east edge of downtown known as Bon Vie, to the eight unit, ultra-modern and brand new two story town homes just north of the Entertainment District called MZ, to what we call soft industrial condos and townhomes at Safari Drive, to the huge, modern and popular Optima Camelview Village, to the traditional styled luxury twin high rises called Scottsdale Waterfront.
What they all have in common is that they sit in the heart of all the action that downtown Scottsdale has to offer. With land at a premium and Scottsdale’s commitment to the area we expect aggressive vertical downtown growth and for prices to appreciate.
Heck, right now there are almost 2,000 apartment units being built in the immediate area. Once residential construction lending loosens up you can expect to see a flurry of new high rise, loft and other luxury condos to be built.
