Optima Sonoran Village is a huge 726,000 square foot luxury apartment community on about 9.8 acres in downtown Scottsdale at the south east corner of Camelback Road and 68th Street.
It’s a “mixed use” project meaning that in addition to the residential apartments there is also about 40,000 square feet of retail, commercial and amenity space.
Optima Sonoran Village is made up of three buildings, the tallest of which is an eleven story high rise, housing 493 apartments with ten different floor plans from one bedroom “convertible” (basically a studio that has some sort of movable wall or screen that provides the sleeping area with a modicum of privacy), one-, two- and three bedroom options.
The design is modern and clean with a lot of steel and concrete and floor to ceiling windows.
Apartment finishes include contemporary cabinets, granite counter tops, porcelain faux stone tile, private patio or other outdoor living space, full size front load washer and dryers. Rent includes DirecTV 150 channel package with HD DVR and true high speed internet.
Community amenities include a truly great 19,000 square foot, 24 hour, fitness center with cardio, free weights and Life Fitness machines, locker rooms; saunas; steam rooms; massage room; two large outdoor pools; two heated spas; an indoor lap pool; racquet ball court; indoor basketball court; putting green; party room; TV lounge; business center; self-serve car wash station; Pet Park; pool tables and ping pong tables and believe it or not, much more.
Up to two pets are allowed per apartment but there are breed restrictions on dogs. Contact your We Know Urban Agent for details.
History: In the summer of 2010, Optima Inc, the developers of Optima Camelview Village (a mid-rise condo development just north of Scottsdale Fashion Square) and Optima Biltmore Towers (a high rise condo project at 24th Street and Camelback) announced its purchase of an old building called Orchid Tree Apartments for approximately $16 million dollars. Optima further declared its intentions to tear down the apartment building and to build five midrise buildings (4 of seven stories and 1 of five terraced stories) of luxury condo flats similar to those located at Optima Camelview Village on the site. Also, about four acres (of the 9.8) was set aside for the perimeter of the community as "common area" to further soften the impact on the neighborhood.
